Painting with Light: Open Air Painting Capture the Berkshire summer landscape by observing the effects of sunlight and shadows. This four-class serieswill study essential landscape techniques of composition, color mixing, perspective, and value. Each class will incorporate sketching and painting (oils or acrylics) and instructor demonstrations. Students will receive a complimentary pass to the Clark's summer exhibition Like Breath on Glass: Whistler, Inness, and the Art of Painting Softly and will be encouraged to visit the exhibition between the first and second classes. Basic supplies provided. Intended for all skill levels, although some prior painting and drawing experience is helpful. This class will be held outdoors on the grounds of the Clark (an outdoor tent is available in case of inclement weather).
